Today, April 8th, the United Nations, together with the Specialisterne Foundation, celebrated its event on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day. In virtual format due to the pandemic, and broadcasted live on UN Web TV (where the video of the event can be seen), it has had the live participation of 8,600 people from more than 100 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thorkil highlighted how the job market has changed since 2015, when Specialisterne first participated in this annual event. Today it is a fact that neurodiversity inclusion programs have benefits for companies. Firstly, they allow access to talent. Secondly, making work environments more inclusive helps all employees. And thirdly, those same employees are more satisfied and proud to belong to their organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Thorkil also announced the creation of an \u201cInclusion Award\u201d, which will seek to reward the best inclusion initiatives in neurodiversity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event had the participation of other people from various countries, highlighting the participation of many who are within the spectrum. They have explained how the pandemic has affected them, the special difficulties that many women with autism face, their work experiences and their concern that there is more connection between the educational system and the business world and other related aspects.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Among these people was Juan Jos\u00e9 Sibaja, formed by Specialisterne Spain and currently working at Procter & Gamble Costa Rica, who has highlighted that he works in a “people-centered organization, where there is an open dialogue and where he could learn every day”<\/p>\n

Hoy, 8 de abril, Naciones Unidas ha celebrado, junto a la Specialisterne Foundation su evento con ocasi\u00f3n del D\u00eda Mundial de Concienciaci\u00f3n sobre el Autismo. En formato virtual debido a la pandemia, y retransmitido en directo por la UN Web TV (donde puede verse el v\u00eddeo del evento), ha contado con la participaci\u00f3n en directo de 8.600 personas de m\u00e1s de 100 pa\u00edses.<\/p>

Thorkil ha destacado c\u00f3mo ha cambiado el mercado de trabajo desde 2015, cuando Specialisterne particip\u00f3 por primera vez en este evento anual. Hoy ya es un hecho que los programas de inclusi\u00f3n de la neurodiversidad tienen beneficios para las empresas. Primero, permiten acceder al talento. Segundo, hacer los entornos laborales m\u00e1s inclusivos ayuda a todos los empleados. Y, tercero, esos mismos empleados est\u00e1n m\u00e1s satisfechos y orgullosos de pertenecer a sus organizaciones.<\/p>

Thorkil tambi\u00e9n ha anunciado la creaci\u00f3n de un \u201cInclusion Award\u201d, que buscar\u00e1 premiar a las mejores iniciativas de inclusi\u00f3n de la neurodiversidad.<\/p>

El evento ha contado con la participaci\u00f3n de otras personas de diversos pa\u00edses, destacando la participaci\u00f3n de muchas que est\u00e1n dentro del espectro. Han explicado c\u00f3mo les ha afectado la pandemia, las especiales dificultades a las que se enfrentan muchas mujeres con autismo, sus experiencias laborales, su preocupaci\u00f3n porque haya m\u00e1s conexi\u00f3n entre el sistema educativo y el mundo empresarial y otros aspectos relacionados.<\/p>

Entre estas personas, estaba Juan Jos\u00e9 Sibaja, formado por Specialisterne Espa\u00f1a y actualmente trabajando en Procter&Gamble\u00a0 Costa Rica, que ha destacado que trabaja en una \u201corganizaci\u00f3n centrada en las personas, donde hay un di\u00e1logo abierto y donde pod\u00eda aprender cada d\u00eda\u201d.<\/p>
